Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes

When you make your own salad dressings at home, not only is it often cheaper, but it can taste better and it is healthier. You will know what went into it, and it will be free of artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, MSG and preservatives. It won't contain more salt than is necessary for good flavor, nor will it consist of ingredients to which you cannot pronounce.

Almost all salad dressings are based around some kind of oil. The question then becomes what specific kind of dressing you like. Most dressings involve simply adding two or three additional ingredients to your olive oil.

Here are some recipes to try. Play around with herbs and spices, lemons and limes, different vinegars, etc., until you get just the right flavors you want to top your salads with.
